Táimid an shásta go bhfuil soláthar á dhéanamh don oideachas speisialta faoi threoracha na Roinne Oideachais. Tá an scoil faoi chóras NEPS chomh maith.

Is í príomhaidhm na tacaíochta foghlama ná an leas is fearr is féidir a bhaint as an bpróiseas múinteoireachta agus foghlama chun  leibhéil shásúla inniúlachta sa litearthacht agus san uimhearthacht a bhaint amach.

Tá seachtar  múinteoir ag plé leis an oideachas tacaíochta /acmhainne faoi láthair sa scoil. Bíonn ról lárnach ag na tuismitheoirí san oideachas tacaíochta/acmhainne chomh maith.

In conjunction with the guidelines for allocation of Special Education Teachers by the Department of Education for Primary schools there are currently five Special Education Teachers in the school.

This enables us to offer learning support to children experiencing difficulty in the areas of Literacy and Numeracy.

We cater for children’s academic, emotional or behavioural difficulties. A specific programme of work is devised to meet each child’s needs following consultation with the class teacher and the parents
